Literature Text

Hollowed out ribs
Scraping sickly
Each bone curves like a smile.
How fitting.

Asphyxiation…
Like… every… word…
Is too much to bear
But with so very very much to say.

But we say them anyway.
We creatures of habit.
Us, with such passions.
Lurk in the dark.

Go on, Petruchio
See if you can tame this shrew.
I can say you shall not get far.
See if you can make me play along in your fairy tales.

Lie down, and forget my name.
Lie down and pray in the dark.
Run from me, Little Red.
From me, the shadow in your dreams.

Little Red,
With the bloodied hands
You painted with your own blood.
Little Red,

Do you know the only thing different
Between a shark and a wolf?
Sharks eat because they have to.
Wolves kill for fun.
I don't typically write comedies, but this was a first.  Something ridiculous I decided to post anyway, against my better judgment.

Petruchio, of course from The Taming of the Shrew, by Shakespeare.  Good read.

Back to work.

This was delightfully dark.
